The Pensions Experts

The PODE who speaks your language.

Why use The Pensions Experts?

When you divorce, you will seek advice from solicitors and mediators in relation to the legal aspects. You should also seek help from a Financial Adviser.

One of the largest and most complex assets you will need to divide are your pensions

To ensure you both obtain a fair share you need a Pension on Divorce Expert (PODE) to prepare a report properly valuing your benefits and setting out how they should be split.

A PODE can be appointed by the court, instructed by the solicitors and even directly by you as individuals.

I believe my hands on approach combined with my can do attitude will give you the support you need during what can be an exceedingly traumatic time. I personally have been divorced twice, so I have significant empathy for your plight. I know how important it is to know that something is being done and progress is being made, which is why you will receive regular updates, throughout the process.

My duty is to the court and I am required to remain impartial

My Report will provide guidance as to how the pensions should be shared.

Hear what people have to say about The Pensions Experts

Just dropping you a quick email – you may receive an influx of enquiries both from me and my firm and a lot of practitioners in Plymouth and that is probably my fault. Hope that’s ok – but I have been letting people know of your services!

Compliments on your report Heather. I will be sure to circulate your details among my colleagues and counterparts at other firms – in fact I have done so already.

It is refreshing to have had an input from you as you went along.

Many thanks for all your work Heather, and for expediting the report (including the weekend work – which did not go unnoticed, by us both, I’m sure).

Thank you again for attending the Hearing to give evidence; the Judge was very complimentary.

When I recommend and refer my clients to Heather Dunne, PODE, I know that they will be in very safe and competent hands.

I have always found Heather to be incredibly responsive and approachable. Although what I particularly like and admire about Heather’s approach is that she works in an inclusive and collaborative way with my mediation clients, enabling and empowering them to feel better able to work together in mediation, to find sensible and suitable pension solutions that work for them, in their situation.

Thank you so much Heather. It is quite a report! Your work is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your excellent and detailed response.

Many thanks for completing this report for us. It is very much appreciated and provides us with what we need to move forward in concluding the divorce process. I will read through the report and come back to you if I have any questions. And I will pass this on to our solicitors.

It has been a pleasure to work with Heather over the years. Her knowledge of pension schemes is second to none, and her attention detail has helped unravel the many intricacies of old pension schemes. She has a unique ability to breakdown the complexities of defined benefit pensions into reports that scheme members can understand and digest.

I trust Heather implicitly because she is always thinking around the case and is not afraid to tell me what she really thinks, not just provide the technical report. We often discuss client cases and I find that my advice (I still deliver the advice to the client) is always better informed and more solidly grounded after we have spoken.

Working in pension transfers is exceptionally technical, and Heather certainly exudes knowledge and experience. More importantly, having used Heather in many guises over many years, her ability to help people understand the intricacies of the detail within this complicated subject has been of real benefit to our team.

Having worked with Heather Dunne for many years now her knowledge of Pensions remains second to none, and Heather’s client service is outstanding. We have engaged Heather for our firms Defined Benefit Analysis work and have not found anyone else with her enthusiasm and dedication to get this 100% correct. I have the utmost faith in Heather, and nothing is too much trouble for her, which is reassuring. Clearly the work is very technical and also requires tenacity and patience when dealing with the large corporate schemes to ensure that the information requested is actually received and is correct. Heathers fees are extremely competitive and in my opinion are worth every penny.
